Paris Deli

One hot afternoon we made our way to Paris Deli in search of tea and cake. There are so many choices, and it took quite awhile to decide what we wanted, eventually selecting Baba Au Rhum (for him) and Chocolate Fudge Cake (for her). Tea to go with it? Not a chance! Milkshakes....oh yes please!

The cakes were just what we expected and oh so very good.  The milkshakes great.

You can also buy fantastic loaves of bread that are baked daily.

In comparison on the prices - a slice of cake similar to the Chocolate Fudge Cake at Mugg & Bean in South Africa costs R31.90 (N610.74 / US$3.88) and milkshakes costs R27.50 (N526.61 / US$3.35) whereas Paris Deli's price for the Chocolate Fudge Cake and milkshakes at N1000 (R52.21 / US$6.36) and the Baba Au Rhum N800 (R41.77 / US$5.08).  All exchange rates as of today.

On the downside, on entering the Deli, the front section is designated for smoking while the back of the Deli is for non-smoking, but the ventilation is very poor and the air cons help to move the smoke throughout the premises.  The second time we went to the Deli, this time for lunch, the smoke from the cigarette and cigar smoke was overbearing and sadly, as a non-smoker, I just could not take it and we left.

You'll find Paris Deli at 11b Akin Adesola Street, Victoria Island.
